Get a rock solid nutrition plan

Although most athletes would agree that nutrition is important and sometimes the difference between winning and not finishing, there is a lot of discussion about what the best nutrition strategy is. There are many opinions and lots of claims. Some of these opinions are based on evidence, some on individual experiences, often on beliefs, and many are mere guesses. Claims are often driven by commercials interests. Athletes will try different things and find some things that work and often many that don't. This trial and error approach can actually be quite effective in getting to a good solution for the individual. The only problem is that you need to make many many errors first before your find out what works for you; that takes a lot of time (and money).
This is where "evidence" comes in. Using information that is available from research projects will increase the chances that it works for you. You make more informed decisions and therefore you will get to a better solutions, much quicker. CORE uses the latest science to set nutrition targets for you. This means that you will be able to create a rock solid nutrition plan much faster. You may still have to practice your plan in training, but by choosing this approach you have a much greater chance of success.

If you want to try a plan and see how this stacks up against your normal nutrition intake check out CORE now.

Build your custom race plan

CORE has many events programmed and the list is still growing. However, you can also build your own race or training plan: you simply select a distance and you select the time you want to complete this distance in and you can start planning for that race or training. In these custom plans you can use your own preferred products and regular foods. It is available for running and for cycling. So if you want to do a 134k bike ride, you can plan for this with a premium plan. In the free version of CORE, you could do the planning by selecting a 100k bike ride or a 100m bike ride. If you want to plan a long run, you can select half marathon or marathon in the free version of CORE. You can then plan with a generic set of products. Of course the more accurate the distance, the better the plan will be and if you can select the actual products you will use, this will also make it more accurate. Click below to start building your custom race or training!  (for this feature you will need to upgrade if you have not already done so).

CORE fueling Chicago Runners

CORE is very pleased to announce our partnership with Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA).  With 10,000 active members, CARA is one of the largest running groups, and they annually train 3,500 runners for races like Bank of America Chicago Marathon.  CARA “is devoted to expanding, motivating, supporting and celebrating the running community of Chicagoland. CARA connects runners to resources that enable them to run—farther, faster, better, for life.”
For CARA, CORE will be providing many resources: access to the CORE application, marathon and half-marathon nutrition guides, and the very critical nutritional training plan.  Plus, CORE is adding the major races for CARA members to its set of events so that members can plan races with course aid stations and nutrition.
CORE will be adding the marathon and half marathon races from the CARA Race Calendar.  Tell us which races are your priority races.

CORE used in Paris-Roubaix.

After CORE  was seen in Milan San Remo, it was also used by riders in the spring classics like the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. Mat Hayman, last year's winner of Paris-Roubaix was seen with a CORE nutrition plan on his stem in the Hell of the North. The Nutrition plan also highlighted cobbled sectors, guiding him through the race. Also Andre Greipel (who finished 7) and the rest of the Lotto Soudal team also rode with CORE plans on their bikes. Check out the pro-cycling events in CORE. Many of the bigger races are programmed: the Giro and the Tour are amongst the next events that will be available.
